Georgia Gibson

Georgia has grown up on her family farm in Springton, riding horses and assisting in the family’s commercial cattle breeding enterprise. Completing a gap year after year 12, working on cattle stations across the North of Australia has cemented Georgia’s decision to pursue a degree in agriculture.

 

She came into the degree thinking agronomy was the career path she wanted to follow, but her continued involvement in the cattle industry made her realise that cattle genetics and nutrition is much more interesting to her.

After completing her degree, Georgia aims to travel overseas to gain experience in the cattle industry on a more global scale before returning to Australia to pursue a career in the cattle industry.

 

Georgia enjoys the networking and extra-curricular activities that being at university has provided her. She is keen to give back to the agriculture industry and is looking forward to getting more involved with her cohort as this year’s Communications Officer.
